Workshops & Programmes

 
The ADA holds a yearly Summer and Winter School in Research Methods and Academic Development for aspiring and current PhD Candidates, Postdoctoral Fellows and Supervisors. These schools have become a highlight on the academic calendar, not only for presenters and students on Stellenbosch campus, but also for our partners in South Africa and Africa with delegates coming from as far as Kampala, Accra, Cairo and Harare to name but a few.
 
​The focus remains on the on continued, high quality support of doctoral studies and offering advanced research skills training and development.​ Since 2009 over 2500 delegates have attended the courses presented ranging from introductions to software programmes such as SPSS and ATLAS.ti to Research Design, Doctoral Supervision and Becoming a Lecturer and Preparing for the PhD.
