Step-by-step Guide for Mentees

The following list can be used by mentees as their "to-do list" with regard to the BeWell programme (once you have registered yourself you must start at Step 2 on the list).

Please note:The best way to perform all your online responsibilities is to do it via your own individualised and secure private wellness website - all the forms and resources are available there. Instructions on how to access this private space is available from the "For Your Eyes Only" menu option above and the "For Your Eyes Only" button link below. The list below is duplicated on your own site and is provided here to give you quick access to all the necessary forms.

You will notice that the list also contains references to wellness enhancing activities. These wellness activities and resources are for personal enrichment and development, and they support academic achievement! It can also be used to generate additional topics for discussion during your mentoring sessions - it is therefore important that you take notice of these.

You will earn mentoring points (MP's) for all the mentoring sessions that you attend and record, and wellness development points (WDP's) for all the wellness enhancing activities that you undertake and record on the system. The wellness activities are optional, but if you do not record any you will not earn any points either and miss a golden opportunity for personal growth. It is highly recommended that you at least complete the Wellness Development and the Grit and Growth Mindset e-workshops, available from the "My e-Workshops" menu option on your own wellness website.

Various leaderboards are also available and you can follow what others are doing by consulting the live Twitter feed ("My Leaderboard" and "My News" menu options on your own wellness website).

Step 1: Register as a mentee (you will do this only once - if you ever forget your password for your individualised site, you can get it from the "Forgotten Password" menu option above or the "Forgotten Password" button link below).

Step 2: Attend the mentoring sessions led by your mentor (welcome, wellness, individual, social media-based and other).

Step 3: Record your mentoring sessions.

Step 4: Perform wellness enhancing activities: Visit the "My Multimedia" e-library and complete e-workshop assessments and activities ("My e-Workshops"). Both the multimedia resources and the e-workshops are available on your own wellness website.

Step 5: Monitor your leaderboards ("My Leaderboards") and progress ("My Achievements" and dashboards). These functions are available on your individualised wellness website.

Step 6: Monitor the Twitter and news feeds ("My News"), available on your own wellness website.

Repeat steps 2 to 6 continously (when appropriate) - attend and record your mentoring sessions, visit your e-library and e-workshops, and study your activity logs, journals, leaderboards, achievements, etc.. Encourage your mentor to do the same:)
