Vernon Trafford is Emeritus Professor at Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He has held appointments in Business Schools of three UK universities and an Education Faculty where he directed a MSc (Education Management) and established a Doctorate in Education.

Various international agencies, including the World Bank, have engaged Vernon on educational development projects in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Since 2002 he has presented annually, with Professor Shosh Leshem, at the Early Researchers Conference of the European Conference for Educational Research.

With thirty years experience of doctoral supervision and examining his involvement with doctoral processes in UK and other countries provide the basis for his research, publications and workshops on the nature of doctorateness.
