Students from CISU won the 3rd prize in the Chinese Contest
On 5th, August, New Hope Preliminary Round of the 10th Chinese bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students was held in Building of Basic Education, Pretoria, South Africa. 22 contesters from 4 Confucius Institutes, 3 Confucius Classrooms and Pretoria Chinese School participated in this contest.
The Preliminary Round includes three rounds, Writing test, Speech and Talent show. After intense contest, Neini Song and Qila Ma from Pretoria Chinese School won the First Prize. Di Tang (Thembakazi Nomane Potelwa) with Confucius Institute at Stellenbosch University (CISU) won the Third Prize. This is also the first time for CISU to win a prize in this contest.
This contest is hosted by Sponsored by Confucius Institute Headquarters /Hanban and Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, organized by The Confucius Classroom at the Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Centre and sponsored by New Hope South Africa and Chinese Construction Bank Corporation Johannesburg Branch (CCB JHB).
