The Confucius Classroom took part in the Open Days of Worcester Gymnasium
27th and 28th Feb, the Confucius Classroom at Worcester Gymnasium, which is subordinated to the Confucius Institute at Stellenbosch University, took part in the Open Days of Worcester Gymnasium.
The annual Open Days were held for the Grade 7 learners and their parents for visiting the school. As one of the special subjects at Worcester Gymnasium, the Confucius Classroom held exhibition which included the paper-cutting artworks and the photos of learners at the classroom, the Chinese cultural functions and the cultural tours in China. The Grade 9 learner Jana Nadia Le Roux introduced the information of Confucius Classroom and her experience of learning Mandarin to the visitors. One of Mandarin teachers prepared the Calligraphy which attracted a plenty of learners and parents to write down their names or words with the Chinese brush pen. They all felt very excited with their writing.
Furthermore, a Chinese fan dance “Sharing Good Time altogether” was taking place on the stage. It was performed by 6 learners. With the red fans and their elegant performance, it pushed the atmosphere to the peak.
