Profile
Fiona is currently working towards earning an MPhil in Sustainable Development, Planning and Management. Her research is centred on socio-ecological systems and their linkage to the Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land-Use, and Energy (FABLE) Model in Zimbabwe. She is captivated by sustainability models and community transitions in building resilience towards striking a balance between anthropogenic activities and sustainable development.
She has a BSc. Honours Degree in Geographical Information Science and Earth Observation from the University of Zimbabwe and spent her early career years working as a GIS Analyst. Her previously engaged research involves use of remote sensing technology in crop monitoring and wildfire damage assessment efforts through mapping.
