Profile

Nichola is current completing her MPhil at the CST with her focus on power sector reform, incumbency, and socio-technical transitions. After completing her Honours in Development studies Nichola found herself searching for work experience in places that embraced both the social and environmental aspects of sustainability and worked in CBO and NPO spaces, which shared these goals, for two years, before moving into hospitality and facilitation. Having a deep desire for growth and learning, Nichola found her way back to academia and completed the post graduate diploma and at the Sustainability Institute leading her to her current MPhil and research assistant position.
Sustainability has always been a passion of Nichola’s, although the PGDip and MPhil have allowed her to understand the expansiveness of sustainability and the opportunities that lie within the sustainability space. The focus of her MPhil speaks to her intrigue with systems and society and the interconnections between the two. Nichola is currently also a Research Assistant at the CST.
