December 14, 2012 – The entire staff of Desmond Tutu TB Centre and representatives from its other strategic partners i.e. City of Cape Town Health Directorate, to mention just one, gathered together for its annual dissemination meeting at Klein Joostenberg Farm.
The objective of the meeting was to comprehensively summarise the year 2012 in as far as different studies and projects for the centre are concerned. Also to officially thank each and every person who has contributed towards the Desmond Tutu TB Centre’s achievements for the year 2012.
The event was officially opened by Professor Nulda Beyers, Director of Desmond Tutu TB Centre. It was a jovial gathering with everyone dressed up for the event.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation done by Dr Karen Jennings from the City of Cape Town Health Directorate, who ably commended DTTC’s contribution towards health system of the Western Cape as a province.
She also talked about how these two entities continuously work together towards achieving good health in the province. Most staff members had more reasons to enjoy themselves as it was their last day mingling with colleagues as they were heading towards summer festivities.
