Social Science teams from ZAMBART and Desmond Tutu TB Centre

Cape Town – The Social Science team from the Desmond Tutu TB Centre recently hosted the team from Zambia AIDS Related TB (ZAMBART) project to discuss the formative research completed in preparation for the Population Effects of Antiretroviral Therapy (PopART) study.

The three day workshop provided the opportunity for the social science teams to share fieldwork experiences, reflect on findings and discuss future research outcomes.

Most importantly, a series of short reports were generated for all 21 research sites. These reports will aid in guiding the field teams during the implementation of the study.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr Virginia Bond from ZAMBART and Graeme Hoddinott from the DTTC. Special thanks to Prof Janet Seely for her attendance and technical guidance.
