The University of Stellenbosch Hockey Club provides a unique opportunity for hockey players whether they are looking for international level, club, recreation, schools or development hockey.
US Hockey Club Structures
Club Hockey – Nine (10) teams, five (5) women & four (5) men, compete in the Western Province League
Residence Hockey – 65 teams, 38 women & 27 men, compete in a local recreation league. Players are primarily from the University residences.
Schools Hockey – 2013 will be the 31st annual Matie Schools Hockey Camp, where 40 school teams from all over South Africa as well as Namibia & Zimbabwe will be participating in a five (4) day coaching course.
Matie Hockey Institute – Provide coaching to schools as well as offering various hockey related courses throughout the year.
