Tips on how to format your thesis (MS Word)

This workshop will help you work around some of the common formatting glitches most postgraduate students experience, whilst getting their document ready for submission.

Benefits of formatting your thesis:

  • Consistency – your document will be consistent throughout and will ensure that your supervisors can easily navigate the content
  • Speed – once you have customised a style or format it would be easy for you to apply the style throughout the document
  • Automation – the insertion of Table of Contents, figures and bibliography can easily be automated once the formatting has been customised
