Starting a postgraduate writing support group

Would you like to be part of a writing support group? Find three to five other people studying in your field who are interested in submitting a  well-rounded thesis and we will arrange for a start-up session with a specialist from the Stellenbosch University Writing Laboratory, to help you establish a successful writing support group.

The aim of a writing group is to ensure that you progress towards completing your degree through regular writing, and to develop your academic thinking and writing skills through the feedback offered by the group. Students that belong to a writing group are also typically more motivated when writing up their theses, as they are less isolated and have regular contact with other students that are in the same position.
