History

Men of Purpose since 1967

Back in 1964, senior men students requested rector HB Thorn for a senior house with single rooms. The house was to be named Majuba, in reference to the deciding battle of the First Freedom War. The first residents moved in in 1967. Throughout the next years, Majuba grew as a house, establishing finer traditions. Even though a lot has changed in half a century, some things we still hold dear. Our anthem, our flag, our emblem, our values and our proud military traditions.
