It provides undergraduate university education and Professional Military Development for career-orientated officers. This education will equip them with knowledge, analytic skills and insight, thus enabling the SA National Defence Force not only to cope with a fast, changing environment, but also to meet the demands of the future. On successful completion of the undergraduate studies the student is awarded a B Mil degree from Stellenbosch University.
The Academy also offers a range of postgraduate degree options on all levels to both residential and non-residential students. Interactive Telematic Education programmes for undergraduate studies are also available to non residential learners. The Military Academy offers a very unique educational opportunity and is situated in the West Coast town of Saldanha.
