As inwoner van Minerva verbind ek my tot die behoud van universele waardes, die onderwerping aan alle landswette, universiteits- en koshuisreëls en ‘n PASSIEVOLLE STREWE na:
-
- Die innoverende, ondernemende en kreatiewe uitbou van wysheid, skoonheid en kunste;
- Behoudenheid, stabiliteit, verantwoordelikheid, die uitleef van tradisies en (gesonde) pret;
- Verdraagsaamheid, wedersydse respek, empatie, ondersteuning, meelewendheid en billikheid te alle tye:
- Uitmuntendheid, veiligheid, huislikheid, vreedsaamheid, samewerking en die skep van ‘n voortreflike studieklimaat.
As inwoner van Minerva verbind ek my ook onlosmaaklik met die leuse van die Universiteit van Stellenbosch, naamlik "Die regte opvoeding versterk die karakter".

As inhabitant of Minerva, I commit myself to the presentation of universal values; to the submission to all the laws of this country and to the rules of this university and residence; and to a PASSIONATE ASPIRATION for the:
- Innovative and creative expansion of wisdom, beauty and art;
- Preservation, stability and responsibility to live out traditions and (healthy) fun to the full;
- Tolerance, mutual respect, empathy, support, sympathy, and common fairness at all times;
- Excellence, safety, homeliness, peacefulness, cooperation and the creation of an outstanding study climate in Minerva.
As an inhabitant of Minerva, I also affirm to the motto of the University of Stellenbosch, namely "the right education improves the character".
