This lesion extends to the subchondral region. It appears very aggressive and has broken through the cortex anteriorly. The differential diagnosis is between an osteosarcoma and giant cell tumour. Histologically although the lesion contained many giant cells, there were many mitoses and even a small amount of osteoid. The final diagnosis of this, hard to classify lesion was given as "Sarcoma Larger cell type"
