The primary lesion needs to be removed as there is later morbidity from pathological fractures, infection etc from the tumor, even if the procedure is not curative.

If one to a few pulmonary mets. are present these can be removed - Pulmonary metastasectomy. Via thoracotomy the lesions are felt for by touch and the nodule excised.
