Welcome to Oude Molen Fraternity at Stellenbosch University. Become an active member of Oude Molen and experience student life to it’s fullest. This “Get Involved” form is a requisite to get your detail to ensure you stay up to date on what is happening at Oude Molen. We provide exciting culture events and strong focus on our sports to build a brotherhood.
As a private residence first year you will be automatically allocated to a PSO ( Private Student Organization , we call it a fraternity ) . You can change PSO with legitimate reasons, such as “I want to be in Oude Molen cause my brother is there”. The reason for automatic allocation is to ensure that all PSO’s get equal amount of students from which we get primary funding. Walk overs are not allowed although it happens a lot. HK’s are supposed to report walk over students, but it is a difficult process. Walk over is a student who is allocated to certain PSO, but instead attends another PSO’s functions etc, without consulting with administration. This will only mean that our house will not be receiving your membership fees. We are more than glad if you want to join Oude Molen instead of your automatically assigned PSO. After all Oude Molen is the best.

MAD²
MAD² takes place in the first two weeks before class starts. It is an event that introduces the first years to Stellenbosch, each other, the other residences and PSO’s as well as the University itself.. The house committee will ensure that you as a first year are exposed to the wonderful experience of MAD². It is definitely the most exciting time of the year.

Oude Molen runs a tight program during MAD², and the program is full of fun activities however there will be enough time to prepare for the academic year.
To prepare yourself for MAD² you need to bring certain items from home, namely:
• Sunscreen and water bottles
• If you have any fun props, face paint etc for some fun events
Vensters:
Vensters is the main attraction during MAD². It is a production of 10 minutes, which is run approximately 10 times. All the members take part in different dances and scenes to create a fun show that is performed to over 30 000 people during the night. The show takes place on a big stage, with lights and great sound. It is truly a night to remember and will be one of the highlights of your MAD² experience. Anyone of your family or friends can come and watch you perform on the stage

Oude Molen het met van die beste en mooiste dames koshuise skakels gereel vir ons 1ste jaars. Hierdie jaar se skakel gaan groter en beter wees as ooit.
