Short Biography:
Prof Enos Njeru is currently the Principal of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Nairobi since 2011. He was appointed as PANGeA’s Chair in June 2017. His areas of specialization include: cultural anthropology, qualitative research methods, social structure, development anthropology as well as medical anthropology.

Short Biography:
Prof David Sebudubudu is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Botswana. His research interests include: comparative politics, governance, political participation, public opinion and voting behaviour.

Short Biography:
Dr Peter Sebina is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Botswana. Dr Sebina obtained his PhD in archives from the University of London in 2006.

His research interests include: advocacy for library, archives and records management, legal aspects of information management; freedom of information and privacy laws and their relationships with records, library and general information management, information management for transparency (including budget transparency) and effective citizen engagement and participation.

Dr Alexander Makulilois the Principal of the College of Social Sciences at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

Dr Rose Upor is the Principal of the College of Humanities at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. She currently lecturers in Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics.

Short Biography:
Prof Charity Akotia is an Associate Professor and Dean in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Ghana. Her research interests include cultural studies on suicide and suicide prevention, cross-cultural studies on gender role perception and self-esteem as well as gender and relationship aggression.

Short Biography:
Prof Edward Kirumira, is a Professor of Sociology and Principal at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Makerere University, Uganda.

Having been trained at Makerere University, Exeter University in the UK, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the UK, University of Copenhagen in Denmark and Harvard University in the USA, he is specialized in Population and Reproductive Health with extensive research work in HIV/AIDS, emergent diseases and international health issues. Other research interests include program development, monitoring and impact evaluation.

Dr Japhet Bakuwa is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy, Chancellor College of University of Malawi. He also holds the position as Dean in the Faculty of Humanities.

Dr Phillip Kapulula holds the position of Dean in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Malawi. He is currently a lecturer in Sociology of Health. His research interests include masculinities and gender analysis, fatherhood, reproductive health, policy analysis and environmental issues including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).

Prof Tony Leysens is a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Stellenbosch University. His research interests include the political economy of South Africa with a specific focus on state, capital, labour, social moments and economic policy.

Applying critical theory to explain the African state form and regionalism within the context of local social forces and the dynamics of the contemporary world order. The politics of online communities of interest and imagined communities.

Prof Toko Manyaka is currently the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences at the University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon.
