Types of Accommodation

International students live in self catering apartments for graduate (senior) students and share facilities with other international and local students. Unfortunately, halls of residence where students share a room and take their meals in the dining room of that particular residence are reserved for local students. However, we do make exceptions for up to 4 students between 18 and 20 years old who will study in Stellenbosch for at least one full academic year.

The accommodation offered by the University is furnished in most cases, but is not necessarily equipped with all the needs. Students should expect to provide their own bedding, towels, cutlery, crockery, kettle, iron, pots and pans, and a padlock to lock their room / flat in Concordia and Academia.  Students can also obtain many of the required items at a range of supermarkets or stores in Stellenbosch.
