Higher Education South Africa (HESA) is offering South African students the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for Masters studies at the Masdar Institute, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for the academic year starting in September 2011.
Students accepted into the graduate programmes will receive a full graduate scholarship that covers tuition, housing, transportation, air tickets and a monthly stipend.
To apply students need to fill out the online application and submit the following documents with the application: undergraduate transcripts, TOEFL score, GRE score, photo, a detailed statement of objectives – the website address is www.masdar.ac.ae
The Institute currently offers 7 Master of Science degrees in the following programmes:
-Mechanical Engineering,
-Materials Science and Engineering,
-Water and Environmental Engineering,
-Computing and Information Science,
-Engineering Systems and Management,
-Electrical Power Engineering and
-Microsystems Engineering.
Potential candidates who are finalising their undergraduate studies, or already have an undergraduate degree in engineering, science or information technology are encouraged to apply for the scholarships.
The deadline for application for the Fall 2011 semester (September) is 31 May 2011.
