CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Proposals for oral and poster presentations are welcome in the following themes and other aspects of postharvest technology and agri-food processing:

* Transport & rural infrastructure
* Drying technology
* Bio-processing technology
* Postharvest pathology
* Food safety and traceability
* Biosensors & non-invasive tools
* Non-destructive measurement
* Quality measurement and modelling

* Imaging and image processing
* Novel agro-processing
* Logistics & supply chain management
* Value addition & market access
* Postharvest losses and waste
* Postharvest education & policy
* Waste management
* Impacts of climate change
* Food security, life cycle analysis
The deadline for abstract submission is 30th April 2012. The program committee will make the final decisions on the acceptance of abstracts. To participate, please:
a) Complete and submit the REGISTRATION form: see "Registration" option on the menu bar,
b) When logged in, use abstract template to submit your presentation title, authors and keywords and load your abstract, indicating if you prefer oral or poster presentation.
GUIDE FOR AUTHORS
All oral presenters, including invited and key-note speakers, should submit a manuscript for the proceedings of the 7th International CIGR Technical Symposium: Towards a Sustainable Food Chain. The length of the printed paper (including figures and tables) should be 8 pages for invited key-note talks, 6 pages for all oral presentations and 4 pages for posters.

Manuscripts will be published on CD. Selected papers presented at this Symposium will be peer reviewed and published in Special Issues of Food and Bioprocess Technology- An International Journal published by Springer, and Postharvest Technology and Innovation.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTERS
All the posters will be installed during the first two days of the symposium (Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th). We recommend to use A0 Portrait size format (ISO 216) dimensions: 85 cm x 1.2 m maximum
