Extended Curriculum Programmes

All BSc programmes are available as extended curriculum programmes (ECPs). Applicants who are provisionally admitted to mainstream programmes, but whose final results do not meet the minimum admission requirements of the specific mainstream programme they applied for, can direct a request for admission to an ECP. 

ECPs require one extra year of study with a special curriculum in the first year. For further information, see our Calendar.

   Admission requirements

• Conditional acceptance for a BSc programme
• If your final matric results meet all but one of the programme’s minimum requirements (see the table below), you can submit a request here
• Places are limited and preference is given to socio-economically disadvantaged candidates
