International Research Funding & Capacity Development

The cluster for International Funding and Capacity Development is responsible for the management of international research funding programmes relevant to SU researchers, including the international bilateral programmes administered by the NRF and the European Union’s Framework Programme.

The cluster also promotes and manages internal funding streams focused on international travel and international research collaboration. Furthermore, it manages the Capacity Development Programme of the Division for Research Development, through research skills training workshops, and also coordinates the postdoctoral fellows programme at SU.
