Research Information & Strategy
The cluster also regularly conducts SU research landscape analyses as required by internal or external environments and compiles all research related reports and brochures for reporting and marketing SU research. It also manages partnerships with Science Councils and other strategic partners at national level, as well as the facilitation of strategic research partnerships across disciplinary boundaries.
Other specific functions include:
- Management of the annual NRF rating process
- Servicing and management of the Central Research Committee
- Implementation of the Info Ed Research Information Management System on SU campus
- Nominations for awards and prizes to SU researchers
- Annual reporting of the National Research and Experimental Development (R & D) Survey to the Department of Science & Technology
