Research Support

The cluster for Research Support is responsible for the advertising and processing of all internal funding streams, as well as the servicing and management of all three the research subcommittees. The cluster is also responsible for all NRF funding programmes (excluding THRIP and international bilateral funding).

Other more specific functions include:
  • Implementation and management of the overarching ethics policy and all ethics processes at SU.
  • The management of funding processes and strategic planning with regards to large laboratory equipment as well as liaison with the Central Analytical Facility (CAF).
