Prominent media outlets have reported on a new book published as a result of a comprehensive CREST study of the career prospects of young scientists in Africa.
This report from Nature focuses on the skewed funding of researchers, with big grants going to a small number of scientists, leaving the bulk of African scientists with no research funding.
An IOL (Independent Online) report focuses on the recommendations for improving the career prospects of African scientists younger than 40.
The book is also discussed on the student web site Yiba and on Times Higher Education.

The book costs R299 or can be downloaded for free.
