With a surge in the number of PhD candidates currently enrolled at African universities, the demand for training in Doctoral supervision has also increased. Prof Jan Botha traveled to Malawi from 19 February to 6 March 2016 to present a series of courses on the topic. This staff exchange between Stellenbosch University and the University of Malawi was graciously funded by the African Association of Universities.
