What is SIC?

The Stellenbosch Idea Competition (SIC) aims to encourage students and staff at Stellenbosch University (SU) to think innovatively and entrepreneurially, by rewarding them for their bright ideas. Staff and students can submit ANY idea (not just technology ideas) with commercial value for the competition and, if their idea stands out from the rest, they stand the chance of winning valuable prizes to give their business a head start. Winners will be encouraged to develop their business ideas in a supportive environment whilst studying for their degree or working at SU.

2012 could be the year that your idea changes the world. There is  a total of R100 000 in prize money up for grabs, as well as vouchers for value-added services like mentorship and hot-desk space (where you’ll have hands-on access to awesome business resources), and time with some of South Africa’s foremost business and thought leaders.
