About

STELLENBOSCH UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL invites you to spend four weeks of your summer (our winter) in one of the most beautiful regions of the world, while you learn about life in post-Apartheid South Africa and experience the rich and diverse culture of the Western Cape.

About the Summer School:

We have a holistic approach in regards to how a student should be introduced to a study field or subject. This is reflected by the fact that we try to present a well balanced academic programme combining theory and practice in an organic manner. Our social programme is also designed in such a manner that it supports our academic programme and provides an introduction to the cultural diversity of Stellenbosch and the Western Cape.

About Stellenbosch University:

Stellenbosch University strives to be significantly better and significantly different. As one of the best equipped universities on the African continent, we offer access to state-of the-art research equipment, libraries and electronic resources coupled with exceptional academic supervision.  Our international reputation is reflected by the fact that Stellenbosch University appears on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, as well as the QS World University Rankings.

Although traditionally research and teaching are seen as the core activities of a university – Stellenbosch University also places much importance on community interaction. Stellenbosch University acknowledges that a university can never exist in isolation, but is embedded within a community.

The charming university town of Stellenbosch is situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands, surrounded by magnificent mountains.  Stellenbosch is only 20 minutes from the nearest beaches and 30 minutes from Cape Town.
