Lift clubs

Stellenbosch, Tygerberg en Bellville Park

The pressure on traffic in and around the campus will decrease if lift clubs are used.

Lift clubs and parking

Lift clubs are advantageous for parking. The following options will be available from 2013:
1. Every member of the lift club applies separately for access to parking:
1.1 Every member receives a separate parking disc.
1.2 Every member pays the full amount, depending on the type of parking (periphery, non-reserved or reserved) allocated to him/her.

2. One member of the lift club applies for access to parking on the central campus on behalf of all the members:
2.1 The member indicates on the application that more than one parking disc is required.
2.2 The license numbers of all the vehicles (up to a maximum of 5) are printed on the parking discs (one disc per vehicle).
2.3 The cost for the allocated parking bay is deducted from the relevant member’s salary.
2.4 The other members pay their parts of the cost directly to the relevant member.
2.5 The lift club parks on the parking area allocated to the main applicant.

3. One member of the lift club applies for access to parking on the periphery on behalf of all the members:
3.1 The member indicates on the application that more than one parking disc is required.
3.2 The license numbers of all the vehicles (up to a maximum of 5) are printed on the parking discs.
3.3 The cost for the allocated parking bay is deducted from the relevant staff member’s salary or student’s student account.
3.4 The other members pay their part of the cost directly to the relevant member.

4. All members use the same parking area. One of the lift club members apply on behalf of the lift club for parking in the applicable area.
4.1 The member indicates on the application that more than one parking disc is required.
4.2 The license numbers of all the vehicles (up to a maximum of 5) are printed on the parking discs (one disc per vehicle).
4.3 The cost for the allocated parking bay is deducted from the relevant member’s salary.
4.4 The other members pay their parts of the cost directly to the relevant member.
4.5 The lift club parks on the parking area allocated to the main applicant.
4.6 As soon as the allocations have been completed, all members need to complete the application form for access to additional booms so that all of their cards are activated for the particular boom.
