The Matie swimming club has a proud tradition of excellence, including an Olympic bronze medal in 1996, silver medal at Commonwealth games 2002, Olympian and Junior world champion in 2008 and Commonwealth Games team member in 2010. This tradition continues till today with club producing Provincial and National team representatives and champions.

This is however not the only goal of the Matie club. We also wish to produce a self disciplined and well adjusted individual that embodies commitment to Club and the sport of swimming. With the privilege of being part of the Matie club comes sacrifice and a sense of common purpose for parents and swimmers.

In addition to preparation and participation in competitions, we also provide a number of other offerings, which include a swimming camp, a schools programme, and a development programme.
