As a registered non-profit organisation, Sharklife addresses the alarming exploitation of both shark populations and ocean fisheries in South African waters.

Maties Underwater Club has recently become a Sharklife partner, which means that shark courses will now be available. There is a course for everyone, whether you are interested in the majestic Great White Shark or Tiger Shark, or if you are interested in the gentle giants of the ocean such as the Manta Ray or Whale Shark. There are many more courses with ultimately that same fundamental goal, to start saving our oceans.

The courses currently offered by Maties Underwater Club are:

Seven Gill Cow Shark

Great White Shark

Ragged-Tooth Shark

Whale Shark (Mozambique or Sodwana)

Manta Ray (Mozambique)

Tiger Shark

These courses will either be done in False bay and the Cape Peninsula or on tour to Mozambique.
