Join us for a discussion with Dr Luvuyo Dondolo (CTS Director), Mr Duke Madalane (Academic coordinator, East London Campus) and Dr Nomzamo Dube (Academic coordinator Alice Campus) from the Centre for Transdisciplinary Studies at the University of Fort Hare.

About the event:

The Centre for Transdisciplinary Studies (CTS) houses a compulsory and student centred first year course called Life, Knowledge and Action. The course targets first year students to break the transitional challenges they faced as they enter the University such as writing problems, articulation and cultural diversity. Through dialogue, the course aims at bridging the articulation gap amongst students and promote knowledge sharing. The centre also coordinates transdisciplinary research, dialogue and seminars across the university community to promote research collaboration and break departmental barriers.

The centre is currently working towards establishing a new honours programme rooted in transdisciplinary research principles, hence, the dialogue will focus on sharing ideas on handling a transdisciplinary postgraduate programme. Our talk will be on the overview of what our centre does and the future plans in terms of the postgraduate programme, research and community engagement projects.
