Profile

Ha-Eun is working towards a MPhil degree in Sustainable development at the CST. With her great interest in equitable and inclusive development, her study focuses on understanding multi-dimensional equity dynamics in ecosystem services.

She delves into how benefits or damages from the ecosystem are being (un)fairly distributed among not only genders but also various social identities, especially in the context of the seaweed value chain in Zanzibar where livelihoods have been impacted by climate change and Covid-19.

Ha-Eun’s educational background and working experience are specialised in East Africa and International Development. After completing a BA in East African Languages and Cultures and participating in several developmental projects, she developed a deep enthusiasm for sustainability that led her to join a learning journey at the Sustainability Institute, recently graduating with her post-graduate degree in Sustainable Development.
