Profile

Holle completed her PhD in Energy Studies and Sustainable Development at the Energy Research Center at the university of Cape Town. Her action research project explored the institutional work underway in the implementation of South Africas Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP). Prior to her PhD research, she worked as Research Officer int the Energy, Poverty and Development group at the Energy Research Center (2010-21014).

Her current contribution to the CST focusses on student supervision and institutional development of the Renewable Energy for Transition research team. Holle supports fundraising efforts through her vast network across the local and international renewable energy landscape. In addition to her work at CST, she advises the private sector through Synergy Global Consulting and individual projects like her current study of job creation and gender equality in renewables industries across Africa for IRENA. Holle is also an active member in the renewable energy industry associations and their working groups on community development.
