# Initiate a journal to the accountant for your department at the Finance department. This journal should:
 
## Debit your cost point
 
## Credit cost point CR:-R1243, account 5227 with R2500.00
 
## Use your username as reference
 
## When emailing the journal request to your accountant, CC itfinoffice@sun.ac.za. This will ensure that the user gets given access rights to the HPC by the IT HPC team.

All users are required to subscribe to the HPC mailing list. All announcements concerning the HPC will be posted there (e.g. downtime notifications). You're also welcome to ask for help on the list. On first login to the HPC you will be automatically registered to the mailing list.
