In collaboration with the American University in Cairo (AUC), Stellenbosch University (through the SU International) is offering 5 students the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange programme in Cairo, Egypt. As part of the AUC Reslife programme, students will participate in a rich cultural experience, which will include students from AUC, Nepal and the University of Pretoria.
The programme is further being implemented with the collaboration of Student Affairs at SU, and selected SU students for the cultural exchange programme can participate in the African Leadership Development Programme (ALDP). This accredited short course will require around 60 hours of participation and will embed the exchange experience in a platform of learning that explores Leadership themes within the African context.
For the cultural exchange students will depart on Thursday 6 September 2018, and return to South Africa on Tuesday 18 September 2018. Here is the tentative programme for the cultural exchange.
Successful applicants will receive a travel bursary, which will include flights, accommodation and stipend to cover basic food. Registration costs for participation in the ALDP will be covered, if a student also decides to take part in the short course.
