Erasmus + Student Mobility Funding

Erasmus + Scholarships and Opportunities:

The purpose of the Erasmus + scholarships is to support academic exchanges in and between Erasmus + Programme Countries and Partner Countries.

Your study period abroad can last from a minimum of 3 months (or 1 academic term or trimester) to a maximum of 12 months.

One of the most important requirements for you to be able to make use of Erasmus + funding, is that Stellenbosch University and the receiving institution have an inter-institutional agreement in place. 

To apply for Erasmus + funding you need to apply via our semester exchange application.

Currently, we have Erasmus + agreements in place with the following institutions:

  • University of Alicante, Spain
  • Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), France
  • TU Munich, Germany
  • Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany (See the Call for Application)
  • University of Helsinki, Finland
  • A4U Alliance, Spain
  • FU Berlin, Germany
  • Maastricht University, The Netherlands
  • Masaryk University, Czech Republic
  • Padova University, Italy
