SU welcomes first semester exchange group from China

Stellenbosch University (SU) recently welcomed its first semester-exchange group from the People’s Republic of China. The semester will give 13 students from Zhejiang Normal University’s China-Africa International Business School (CAIBS) the opportunity to learn more about the local academic culture and student life. The exchange programme is aimed at strengthening the relationship between SU and universities in China and will lead to Stellenbosch students undertaking semester exchanges at CAIBS in future.

Stellenbosch University welcomes new international students

"I came to South Africa because I wanted to see something new and different. I wanted to see some new and vibrant cultural experience and since I have heard only good things about South Africa, especially Cape Town, I think there is something special here. This culture is very interesting and attractive," says Laura Cancellieri, exchange student at Stellenbosch University from Munich.

Laura is one of more than 400 international students who will be pursuing studies at Stellenbosch University, starting this second semester of 2013. Students from countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, France and the USA form part of the 2013 second semester cohort of students who will either commence full-degree postgraduate studies or undertake a short semester exchange at SU.
