SU International facilitates the mobility of staff, both for academic and professional support staff. The networks and linkages created through the mobility of staff is in support of the explicit research agenda of the university and plays a key role in realising our Vision 2040. The exposure of our staff, whether academic or administrative plays a pivotal role in the promotion of internationalisation activities and enhancing our research profile through diverse cooperation. It further increases intercultural insight and institutional knowledge and enables us to identify further opportunities. Staff mobility also stimulates student mobility and addresses barriers such as a lack of insight into the curriculum at a host university, fear of a difference in academic environments and the overall absence of a culture of international mobility for students. Furthermore, enabling the mobility of academic staff will increase the mutual interest for research collaboration. SU International currently also has a focus on the international exposure of our professional support staff. An opportunity like this can be truly beneficial exposure, especially for staff members for whom these opportunities where previously unattainable.
In addition to the various grants offered by SU International, we focus on two core actions for staff mobility: staff mobility with our bilateral partners and staff mobility through the Erasmus+ programme. Please see the relevant page below (or use tabs to the left) for more specific information on these two actions and the contact information of the relevant coordinator.
The call for Bilateral and Erasmus+ staff mobility is currently open and closes on 8 March 2019 (for mobility in the second semester of 2019).
