Visiting Academics

Academic staff from international partner institutions as well as other institutions abroad may apply to join Stellenbosch University as a visiting academic. 

From a Partner Institution

When academics from partner institutions are invited by a specific environment to visit Stellenbosch University, the following support services can be offered

  • Airport transport arrangements
  • Other settling in support as required.

From a Non-Partner Institution

When academics from non-partner institutions are invited by an environment, one or more of the support services below can be offered:

  • Stellenbosch University International may assist with accommodation and airport transport arrangements, should the host department request such assistance.
  • Financial support for these visits will only be considered through a formal process requesting such assistance for the visit.
  • Support in facilitating the payment of stipends.
