The Materials Engineering group’s website has gone live! The building anticipation and excitement ever since it was announced that the group is to have its very own website, was finally answered when the site went live on the 19th of August 2015. A senior lecturer of the group, Thorsten, put into rolling the design and development of not only a private web space for the research group, but also a Materials Engineering logo and banner. Numerous striking images of thrilling experiments and materials were collected from projects and incorporated into the home page’s automatic slide show.
The home page offers information on the focus, objectives and expertise of the research group. The page also hosts photographs and background information of our researchers in the group. Links on the home page allow for public browsing of facilities, consulting options, blogs, and contact information. Blog posts and images of not only research, but also social activities, such as the thrilling hike that took place on the 26th June, are to be posted on the site.
