The University's annual Giving Day has concluded, marking a resounding success. Yet, the opportunity to contribute towards SU’s ambitious goal of raising R5 million for student debt relief remains open until the end of October 2023.

Matie alumnus Allan Boyle wants to conquer 10 000m of mountain climbing and at the same time raise 10 000 € (R200,000) that would go towards bursary support for a student studying a postgraduate degree at the School of Data Science and Computational Thinking.

Stellenbosch University has officially opened its Masiphumelele Centre, signifying a significant milestone in the meaningful engagement between existing bursary donors and the recipients of their generosity, SU students.

The spotlight will fall on entrepreneurial innovation and growth on the African continent at a new centre for entrepreneurship to be established at SU. The Centre will be known as the Allan Gray Centre for Africa Entrepreneurship following a R4 million donation the University received from Allan & Gill Gray Philanthropies.
