Research universities and innovation impact

The ultimate goal is twofold: (1) to create a better evidence-based analytical framework that will generate new insights into the potential contribution of research-active universities in innovation-driven local socioeconomic development – more specifically on the driving forces and available facilities that represent ‘innovation accumulation capability’; (2) to identify under-resourced or undervalued ‘impact pathways’ within a university that may (in)directly lead to ‘local innovation impacts’.
