Poster guidelines

The purpose of the poster presentations is to share your experience and reflection about designing and implementing T-L-A initiatives. A poster presentation is a powerful tool to communicate with peers and provides the opportunity for one-on-one engagement. The poster presenter, therefore, needs to be present during the allocated poster session slot, but poster presenters need not prepare a structured presentation.

Please deliver your clearly marked poster to the Centre for Learning Technologies by Monday, 4 November between 9:00 and 15:00. The poster session will take place on 6 November. The time will be communicated once the programme is finalised. Please be available during the conference should delegates have any questions about your poster.

Some guidelines

  • The poster must be printed in colour on size A1 (841 x 594).
  • Important information should be readable from about 1 meter away.
  • The title should be short and must draw interest.
  • Use less text and more visual elements.
  • The text must be clear and to the point.
  • Use bullets, numbering, and headlines to make it easy to read.
  • Use graphics, colour, and fonts effectively.
  • Use a consistent and clean layout – avoid excessive use of decorative elements that may distract from the message
  • Ideally, the poster should communicate your message even when you are not available to elaborate.
