The Creative Photographic Society is a diverse group of photographers, with a large spectrum of interests and experience. We aim to create an environment in which each photographer can enrich their knowledge of photography and improve their abilities, as well as enabling people to share the way they view the world. We do this by exposing our members to a variety of professionals who will introduce new genres and reinforce familiar concepts.
At the beginning of the year we will hold several workshops to help students familiarise themselves with their cameras and understand the variables that determine the outcome of the photo. After that we will follow the structure of having a new genre each month where a professional photographer will give an introductory lecture on the genre. From there we will have workshops or field trips to get some experience! At the end of each month students may submit their photos for feedback and the best three will be chosen for prizes!
