Harmonie Voordeur
In the heart of Stellenbosch, is a ladies residence like no other. Established in 1905, Harmonie Ladies Residence, is the oldest university residence in South Africa. Situated between the Botanical Garden and the Conservatory in Neetling Street, Harmonie is positioned perfectly in central Stellenbosch Our values love, unity and respect ensure that we form close and lifelong bonds with the girls who live with us.
Harmonie currently offers 161 lucky girls to be part of something special. Double and single rooms are available. Unfortunately single rooms are only available for seniors based on a system of points for participation.
Intersection competitions help create a sense of pride and also improves spirit. Harmonie ladies are encouraged to live a balanced lifestyle in Stellenbosch which includes social, sport, culture and very important, academics.
In die hart van die eikestad, is Harmonie reeds in 1905 gestig en dus gevestig as die oudste universiteitsdameskoshuis in Suid-Afrika. Geleë in Neetlingstraat tussen die Botaniese Tuin en Konservatorium is Harmonie heeltemal sentraal in Stellenbosch.
Met waardes soos liefde, eenheid en respek is Harmonie beslis ‘n unieke dameskoshuis. Deur hierdie waardes uit te leef, vorm ons beslis hegte verhoudings en lewenslange vriendskappe.
Harmonie bied huisvesting vir 161 meisies per jaar; dubbel en enkelkamers. Enkelkamers word slegs oopgestel vir seniors na aanleiding van ‘n kamerpuntestel.
Interkoshuis en interseksie kompetisies verseker dat Harmoniete gees en trots bou op ‘n aangename wyse. Harmonie dames word aangemoedig om ‘n gebalanseerde studentelewe te lei met tyd vir sosiaal, sport, kultuur en belangrikste van alles, akademie.

Briljant sla met graagte hier wil woon gedurende my tydperk as student aan Stellenbosch.
I’m from Collegiate girls’ High School in Port Elizabeth. a Few weeks ago I specially went to Stellenbosch ,by bus, to look at the different Residences.Afterwards i told my mom ,” Harmonie is just in a different league altogether ” I truly hope to call this my home next year.
Ever since I have learnt of the University of Stellenbosch, it has been my goal to find a residence that I could spend my 4 years of studying in. I came across Harmonie and since then it’s the only residence I truly hope to get into. Not only the accreditation of the residence but its tradition and sense of togetherness are what have drawn me, to wishfully hope I may become a part of it next year.

I wanted to find out if it is still possible to apply for accommation here for 2013, or if it is too late now? I applied to the university a while ago, but I applied online from Sweden and didn’t see the section about accommodation.
Please let me know if there is still a way to apply for accommodation.

Do you only accommedate for University students?

During the academic term we only accommodate university students but if you are interested in using it during the June or December holiday, that can be arrange with the University.
Hi, my mom was in Harmonie many years ago and I am coming to Stellenbosch next year. I was wondering if the CV system has definitely fallen away this year? I would hate to miss out on the opportunity to stand a chance of a place in Harmonie?
