Three Steinhoff Maties in SA hockey team for Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia

Steinhoff Maties Hockey’s Jacques le Roux, Jean-Pierre de Voux and Dylan Swanepoel are currently in Malaysia representing the South African men’s hockey team at the Azlah Shah Cup.

Other countries at the tournament are Australia, Korea, Malaysia, Canada and China. Action starts today (Thursday 13 March) and the final matches will be played on Sunday 23 March.

The Steinhoff Maties trio was also part of the South African team who recently played against two time Olympic champions Germany at Hartleyvale. SA lost the series 0-3.

This is the second overseas series Le Roux, Swanepoel and De Voux is playing in after also being in action in a series against Argentina. Swanepoel was the unofficial Player of the Series according to reports.
