How do I make a booking?
The electronic booking system KENAKO is readily available and very user-friendly. Click on the link to make your own booking via KENAKO for a time that suits you. If you are unsure about anything or experience problems with the system, please contact Anne-Mari Lackay at 021 808 2989 or Vinelene Hartley at 021 808 2161.
What will you get out of a consultation?
You will get an opportunity to discuss your own writing with a trained writing consultant in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Your consultant can advise you on writing issues that are bothering you. You will also develop writing strategies to help with task analysis, planning, structuring, referencing, and much more. These writing strategies will help you with future writing tasks, as well as with your current writing task, and you will gain confidence in working on your writing tasks. In this way you may also develop your own voice in academic writing.
And of course you can use the consultation service at any stage of your writing process.
How long does a consultation last?
A consultation is 50 minutes long. You are welcome to come in more than once for consultations (all free) on the same writing task. If you do this you can work on different things each time you come in and get feedback on your progress. At the same time you will also acquire good writing habits.
